Samarium Doped Glass Substrates used as UV filter
Samarium Doped Glass is a laser cavity material. It filters all Ultraviolet light below 400nm, so it is a very good UV filter. Samarium Doped Glass blocks the UV pump light from neodymium lasing elements, such as Nd: YAG or Nd:glass rods and slabs. It also fluoresces in the visible range, causing a slight increase in pumping efficiency with some lasing mediums. Another advantage of Samarium Doped Glass is that, it also blocks the 1064nm wavelength, which can effectively improve the reliability, life and laser radiation efficiency of laser components.
After process in material, we will process chemical strengthening on the glass, to relieve the stress inside the material.
